Department of Culture and Tourism of Abu Dhabi

The Department of Culture and Tourism of Abu Dhabi (DCT) develops and honours the cultural landscape of the Emirate and promotes Abu Dhabi as a tourist destination. The cultural district on Saadiyat Island, which includes Louvre Abu Dhabi and the future Guggenheim Abu Dhabi and Zayed National Museum, is part of this ambitious cultural programme and embodies the vision developed by the government of Abu Dhabi for future generations.

France Muséums has supported DCT since 2007 at every stage as it has laid the first stone of this far-reaching strategy: the Louvre Abu Dhabi. This multi-facetted and radically innovative museum, which opened in 2017, is home to a collection of over 600 artworks in an iconic building designed by Jean Nouvel. France Muséums now continues to support the ambitions of the DCT by carrying out a range of consultancy assignments in a spirit of cooperation.
