MuseoPro, the training programme

A UNIQUE PROGRAMME FOR A BOOMING MUSEUM SECTOR TO UPSKILL MUSEUM AND HERITAGE PROFESSIONALS 

MuseoPro is a long-term, modular training programme designed to deepen the expertise across the full spectrum of museum and heritage management. Led by international experts, it combines theoretical knowledge and practical application, allowing participants to customize their learning journey based on their career goals, experience and institutional needs.  

Targeting emerging professionals, mid-career practitioners, and senior staff, the program covers foundational and advanced topics, equipping participants with methodologies, tools, and international perspectives to drive excellence in:  

• Conservation and artworks’ exhibition 
• Collection management: inventory and artworks registration 
• Preventive conservation
• Documentation of collections 
• Research in heritage and museal institution 
• Interpretation and audience management

• Legal challenges in content production

A STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIP FOR EXCELLENCE IN CULTURAL PRACTICES

Developed by France Muséums and Institut national du patrimoine in cooperation with DCT, MuseoPro is a pioneering programme in the Gulf design to support talent development in Abu Dhabi’s museums and heritage sector. Officially launched in February 2024 at Louvre Abu Dhabi – in the presence of 

Rachida Dati, Minister of Culture in France, His Excellency Mohamed Khalifa Al Mubarak, Chairman of DCT, and His Excellency Saood Abdulaziz Al Hosani, Under-Secretary of DCT-  this initiative reflects a shared vision to elevate professional strndards through cutting-edge knowledge, practical skills and global networking. The program’s impact and relevance were reaffirmed in January 2026 with the launch of a second edition, solidifying its role as a cornerstone of DCT’s cultural strategy. 

Through strategic collaborations with leading international institutions, MuseoPro delivers world-class training, fosters best practices, and strengthens the cultural sector’s capacity to thrive in a dynamic, evolving landscape. A transformative opportunity for career growth and institutional impact.

THE DEPARTEMENT OF CULTURE AND TOURISM – ABU DHABI (DCT)
